Maycast-Nokes is a privately owned company dedicated to the
manufacture of high quality precision castings. From a single site
location Maycast-Nokes manufacture fully machined lost wax
investment castings and precision sand castings in a variety of
materials.
The Company has evolved since 1971 when it was known as Evans
Foundry.
In 1979 it changed its name to Nokes Foundry and in 1982 Colin
Richer, the current Chairman, took over.
Throughout the 1980’s the company was transformed, additional
buildings and machinery were purchased and the customer base was
broadened.
In 1993 the directors of Nokes Foundry acquired Maycast Precision
Products of Hitchin which, had been established in 1967, and was at
the forefront of the UK investment casting industry. |
|
During
1998 all Maycast manufacture was moved from Hitchin to a new purpose
built investment casting foundry adjacent to the sand foundry in
Halstead.
Maycast-Nokes now employs 120 people and is one of the most
comprehensive single site suppliers of non-ferrous castings in the
UK.
We recognise that at the early stages of design a flexible approach
is advantageous, as such we are able to work from sketches, 2D
drawings or 3D models. We can supply castings made by rapid
prototyping for fit, form and function trials or pre production
runs.
